How Badly Do You Want Change?

How badly do you really want change in your life?  Are you sick and tired of working a 9 to 5 that does not pay you enough money to at least live comfortably?  Have you already QUIT your job mentally and are on auto pilot doing just the minimum of what you are asked to do?

These are some real questions about where you are in your life regarding what you are truly passionate about and if you are willing to make the necessary changes in your life to achieve.  Are you going to just sit there and let life pass you by and live an unfulfilled life or are you going to grab life by the horns and go after each and every thing that you are passionate about doing and fulfill your purpose?

Several years ago I made the decision that I would not let anything in my life stop me from achieving all the goals that I want to accomplish that are in my heart.  For me my dreams is really in two parts
One to be a millionaire not just so I would be rich but with the purpose of being able to help a lot of people because frankly I am giver and I can not help a lot of people significantly if I do not have a lot of money.  So, I have a purpose in having lots of money which is not out of a selfish motive.  Two I dream of owning a Major League Baseball Team one day since I came to the realization that I will not make it to the Majors by playing, owning a team seems to be the next best thing.

Now, think about your dreams and goals.
Are you willing to make the necessary changes in your life to achieve them?  When I was twelve years old I remember being in a Bible study that my parents had in our house and someone who attended shared this quote with all who were there and I never forgot it.  They said, 'That when the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of change that is when people change.'  Well I ask you is the pain of remaining the same greater in your life right now than the pain of change?  Only you can answer that question and only once it is greater will you make the decision to change.

Since I made the decision to make the necessary changes, to make my dreams become my reality,
I have learned a few things about what it takes to actually achieve them.

You have to be completely committed to going through the process of achieving your goals.  Meaning that there are going to come times when you feel like quitting because it is too hard and the pressure is mounting where it feels like you can almost not take it any more.  That is when you have to have an actual picture of your dreams and look at it again and remember why you are doing what you are doing and never lose focus of achieving your dreams because you can do it as long as you stay committed.

You have to have a mentor who can teach you the things that you don't know to achieve your dreams.  This person can not be a friend because a friend will only tell you what you want to hear and not what you need to hear to change.  There is so much information out there in this world that we are all on information overload and because of this we a need a mentor who can guide us step-by-step and direct us through all the nonsense that we don't need to know about and keep us focused on what is important for us to achieve our goals.

If you really want change and are unhappy with your life there are some specific things that you need to do to bring change and happiness in your life.  Are you willing to make those changes?  How badly do you want change in your life?  Only you can answer that question.  Visit www.QuitWhileWorking.com for more information.

I once heard the late Bishop Ezra N. Williams of my church make a statement during his sermon that changed my life.  To the wise, the Bishop said, it takes a live fish to swim up stream, but a dead fish flows with the tide." A statement like this has the potency to quicken the brain cells and moves the body to take action. When I heard the statement, I had lots of dreams. One of which was to become a noble character, so I can command respect and be part of providing solutions instead of creating problems. I also wanted to be an asset instead of a liability in society, but I did not know where to take all those dreams and turn them into a reality, but now I sing a different tune. With a help of a mentor, I am taking meaningful steps towards becoming an author which is highly regarded as an expert of a the particular topic. On that note, I fully endorse Quit While Working because the subject matter is serious and why stay at a dead end job and be miserable when you can find fulfillment in pursuing your purpose in life. Furthermore, if you don't know what your purpose is, just ask yourself what is that one thing that you are passionate about doing and that's the indicator of your purpose. Now, get busy doing that and the money will follow. This is not a warning, but a command - Take A Step Forward, and find a mentor who can help you walk and very soon, you be able to run the race of living a life filled with purpose. Be strong and courageous!

Quit while working I like the concept.  I agree it's takes more than setting goals, that's the easy part.  How to get the results is where people get lost and give up.  Having a Mentor, a Guide and/or a GPS is necessary to get from point A to point B in less time.

I agree with you 100%!  I can honestly say now that there was so much I didn't know so much i didn't realize until I met my business coach.  What I do know is that in this short period of time I've learned so much and I'm on the right road.  The road to success!

This is a great blog.  What you've discussed is exactly what I'm in the process of achieving.  Leaving my 9 to 5 job and work for myself. Thanks for the positive reinforcement.
